Gembala Baik preschool students are the first to enjoy playful classes about waste management and organic gardening at the refurbished Island Sustainability Education Center (ISEC) in Sawangan.

Kids learn the importance of proper waste management as well as how to grow their own vegetables in a cheap, healthy and sustainable way.
Incidence of Malnutrition and overweight in Indonesia will increase over the next 10 years according to the World Health Organisation (WHO). A healthy diet and regular physical activity will help prevent premature heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and cancer.

The education ROLE provides helps fight these chronic diseases and encourages children to start living healthy lives.

“It is an honor and pleasure for us. The kids had a good time at the park and this is such a wonderful program for them.” said Susan Sherryl, the principal of Gembala Baik preschool.

The Island Sustainability Education Center invites many more local schools to extend their curriculum by joining our Environment, Diet and Exercise Interactive Program.
