Children | Public Schools Healthy Environmental Practices Training Program | Education Topic: Waste to Wonder | December 7th, 2019 | School: Yayasan Permata Kasih
As part of their Healthy Environmental Training Program, forty students of Yayasan Permata Kasih between the ages of 6-15 years old had a half day training of Waste to Wonder at Zero Waste to Oceans – Community Environment and Skills Center. Making the total trained students to 8265.
Before the training began, the students were asked about their knowledge about environment. The training focused on 3R (Reduce, Reuse and Recycling) to tackle waste problem. The students learned about reducing their waste, making compost from organic waste, reusing plastics/cans for planting, recycling paper and soap. They also learned about problem in the forest and oceans, jamu (Indonesian traditional herbal medicine), natural dyes and traditional weaving.
The training was finished with promise to keep Bali clean, green and healthy. They also lemongrass tea, jamu kunyit asam and traditional cakes.

Dalam rangka program pelatihan lingkungan sehat, empat puluh siswa/siswi dari Yayasan Permata umur 9-15 tahun mendapatkan pelatihan setengah hari Waste to Wonder di Zero Waste to Oceans – Community Environment and Skills Center. Menjadikan jumlah murid yang dilatih 8265.
Sebelum training dimulai, siswa-siswi ditanya pengetahuannya tentang lingkungan. Pelatihan difokuskan pada 3R (Reduce, Reuse and Recycling) untuk mengatasi masalah sampah. Mereka belajar mengenai mengurangi jumlah sampah, membuat kompos dari sampah organic, menggunakan kembali kaleng untuk pembibitan, daur ulang kertas dan sabun. Mereka juga belajar tentang masalah yang ada di hutan dan lautan, jamu (minuman herbal tradisional Indonesia), pewarnaan alam dan tenun tradisional
Pelatihan diakhiri dengan janji untuk menjaga Bali tetap bersih, hijau dan sehat. Mereka juga menikmati teh sereh, jamu kunyit asam dan kue tradisional.
