Commemorating World Environment Day, R.O.L.E. Foundation was invited as a speaker in an interactive dialogue event live on Instagram organized by National Youth Inspiration with the topic “Only One Earth”
About R.O.L.E. Foundation and National Youth Inspiration
R.O.L.E. Foundation is a non-profit organization that focuses on education. R.O.L.E. The Foundation has two major programs, namely Bali WISE and Zerowaste Center. Bali WISE is an educational skills center focusing on Bali’s hospitality industry and run by R.O.L.E. Foundation’s staff. The high-quality education and skills training lives up to the high-quality standards of professional tourism businesses. Its purpose is to empower young, marginalized Indonesian women through skills education as a means to break the poverty cycle and develop sustainable communities in Indonesia. The ZeroWaste Center is an environmental skills center run by R.O.L.E. Foundation. Its purpose is to share ecological knowledge & waste management training for local governments, businesses, communities, and people, so that they can apply it to their working surroundings and their daily lives. By doing so, the local environment will be improved and the amount of waste ending up in rivers and oceans or going to landfills reduced.
And how about National Youth Inspiration?
National Youth Inspiration is a forum for young people from various backgrounds to develop creative ideas in various fields, including the fields of Education, Environment, Health, and Economics in order to increase mutual awareness of the importance of participation in the progress of the nation. National youth inspiration is committed to empowering young leaders and facilitating them to contribute together for the nation and the environment so that the goal can be realized that can optimize Indonesia’s potential for the progress of the nation.
Only One Earth
The topic of this interactive dialogue is “Only One Earth”. This momentum aims to increase global awareness of environmental sustainability. This is because environmental problems in a country have the potential to affect other countries or regions and even the world. One of the phenomena of environmental damage that needs to be watched out for is climate change due to global warming. Some of the impacts that we have actually felt are the increasing frequency of rainfall, and the uncertainty of the rainy and dry seasons, which have an impact on droughts, floods, storms, and landslides. There is also the issue of waste, how do we take responsibility for the waste we produce so that it does not harm the environment.
A big thank you!
The momentum of world environment day is a big stick to spread knowledge, understanding, and love for our home, Earth. Thank you National Youth Inspiration for inviting us R.O.L.E. Foundation to fill an interactive dialogue live on Instagram with the topic “Only One Earth”. Looking forward to our greater collaboration in the future!
