As part of their environment and sustainability lesson, 21 students grade 3 and 4 from Australia Independent School Bali joined our interactive training of Waste to Wonder at Zero Waste to Oceans – Community Environment and Skills Center in Sawangan, Nusa Dua.

After being introduced to R.O.L.E. Foundation history, vision and programs, each participants got an eco-passport sponsored by DPG Nusa Dua. Then they divided into two groups consist of 10 or 11 students with teachers and parents. The interactive training include awareness on deforestation and marine problems, paper recycling, soap upcycling, training on waste management, organic and non-organic waste, 7 types of plastics, 3R principle, composting, seed bank, seedling, seed balls, herb smelling test, Indonesian traditional herbal drink (jamu), tie dye using natural dyes mahogany leaves for light brown and traditional weaving.

All students enjoyed jamu beras kencur and kunyit asam, traditional snacks and tropical fruits. All fund raised during this study field will goes to environmental education of women and local children of Bali.
