From Monday the 17th to Saturday 29th of June, Keramas is hosting the ASP World Surf Tour with the 34 greatest surfers of the world!
As you know Role Foundation is working in partnership with Oakley on environmental projects and this month, for the Oakley Pro Bali, Role is committed to take care of the cleanliness of the beach.
Every day a team of 5 to 10 people (staff, students, volunteers) start at 6 am to clean the beach and ensure that the public and the surfers won’t walk on a plastic bag.
It is the best occasion for ROLE to spread the word on Environment, waste management problem and to raise the awareness of the main actors during the contest: surfers, public and security. People often thought that as we were there to clean their rubbish, it was a better reason to throw it on the floor or in the sea!
It is such a difficult fight for ROLE Foundation to raise awareness and conscienciousness about the right behaviour to have facing the environement.
