Florida State University |Interactive Training | Topic Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship – Monday, 17th June 2019
As part of their study program of Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Bali, 18 students from Florida State University participated in our interactive tour for Think Global Act Local at Zero Waste to Oceans – Community Environment and Skills Center.
After introduced about R.O.L.E. Foundation, each students got an eco-passport sponsored by DPG Nusa Dua then divided into two groups consist of 9 students. The interactive training include awareness on deforestation and marine catastrophe because of human activities, paper recycling, soap upcycling, training on waste management, organic and non-organic waste, 7 types of plastics, 3R principle, composting, seed bank, seedling, companion planting, Indonesian traditional herbal drink (jamu), tie dye using natural dyes from sappan wood to create red color and rang-rang traditional weaving.
During refreshment period they enjoyed tropical fruits and traditional cakes. All fund raised during this study field will goes to environmental education of women and local children of Bali.
